Dr. Anna Clawson

With a background in both education and mental health, I provide trauma-informed, developmentally attuned, and culturally responsive care tailored to each family’s unique story and strengths. As a Hispanic mental health professional, I bring both personal and professional insight to my work and am deeply committed to creating inclusive spaces where no child or family feels unseen or unheard.

In the past I have co-facilitated adolescent therapy groups at Ottawa County Court and collaborated with multiple agencies and county courts. In addition, I have delivered trainings for foster care families and workers.

I especially enjoy working with caregivers who feel unsure how to help their teen engaged in problematic behaviors or involved with the court system. My approach emphasizes collaboration, rebuilding trust, and equipping families with tools to foster safety, accountability, and connection. I also have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent clients and coordinating care across schools and community systems to promote lasting change.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to systems reform and social justice, balancing leadership roles with direct clinical practice. Whether supporting a teen rebuilding trust after conflict or helping families navigate court or school systems, I bring compassion, structure, and the belief that change is always possible.
