Recovery Services

Substance use can affect every part of a person’s life—from health and relationships to work, identity, and hope for the future. It also reaches beyond the individual, often leaving family members and loved ones carrying fear, uncertainty, grief, anger, and exhaustion of their own.

Leadlight Counseling offers compassionate, evidence-based recovery services for individuals, families, and people navigating legal or professional requirements. Whether you are considering a change, actively working toward recovery, supporting someone you love, or completing a required evaluation, our team will meet you with dignity, honesty, and practical support.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Our Approach to Recovery

Accountability without shame

We believe people are more than a diagnosis, a relapse, a test result, or the most painful decision they have made.

Recovery often requires honesty, responsibility, and meaningful change. It also requires care that recognizes the dignity of the person doing that difficult work. Our clinicians hold both realities together: accountability matters, and shame rarely creates lasting healing.

We provide care that is:

  • Compassionate and respectful
  • Grounded in clinical evidence
  • Responsive to the whole person
  • Honest about risks, needs, and recommendations
  • Collaborative whenever the service allows
  • Connected to additional community resources when a higher or different level of care is needed

Your clinician will meet you honestly and respectfully while helping you assess risks and determine what kind of support is appropriate.

Yes. Individual therapy and the Loved Ones of Addiction group are available to support you, regardless of whether the person you care about is currently participating in treatment.

No. It is an ongoing psychoeducation and support group for people affected by someone else’s addiction. It is not joint therapy with the person who is using substances.

We may communicate with an outside party when you have completed the appropriate written authorization or when disclosure is otherwise required by law.

Before beginning a legally or professionally required service, we will explain what information may be shared and with whom. Because these services may involve reporting or documentation requirements, confidentiality may differ from ordinary individual therapy.

We cannot guarantee a particular finding, recommendation, or legal outcome.

Our clinicians must provide an objective opinion based on the assessment, available records, professional standards, and the information you provide.

Insurance may cover medically necessary individual therapy and some clinical assessments, depending on the service, your plan, and the clinician providing care.

Legal evaluations, SAP services, license-related evaluations, written reports, and other non-treatment services are often private pay and may not be covered by insurance. Our team will explain the anticipated fees before scheduling.
