Nichole Byker, LMSW
Therapist
Do you ever feel stuck or find yourself repeating patterns that no longer serve you? Are you longing for healthier relationships, greater peace, or a new way forward? Our experiences shape how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to life’s challenges. I’m Nichole and we can explore what’s working, what isn’t, and identify meaningful steps toward lasting growth and healing.
I work with adults navigating the lasting effects of trauma, abuse, domestic violence, difficult family dynamics, grief, and major life transitions. Our early experiences often influence how we parent, communicate, and build relationships. As a Licensed Master Social Worker with advanced training in Marriage and Family Therapy, I provide a compassionate, relational approach that helps individuals and families build resilience, strengthen connections, and move toward greater wholeness.
Ages I work with
- Couples, Individuals 18+, Families
My therapeutic approach is grounded in attachment theory and informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), family systems, experiential therapy, and person-centered care. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where healing can take place at your own pace. As a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, I also enjoy helping parents develop practical tools that balance kindness with firmness while fostering confident, capable, and emotionally healthy children.
My family and I recently returned to the United States after spending more than 20 years living and working throughout Latin America. During that time, I served refugees, immigrants, and other vulnerable communities while gaining a deep appreciation for the complexities of culture, identity, and transition. As a bilingual (English and Spanish) therapist in a bicultural family, I am passionate about supporting individuals and families navigating immigration, acculturation, cultural identity, and major life changes.
I also enjoy working with missionaries, ministry leaders, and other helping professionals who are experiencing compassion fatigue, burnout, secondary trauma, or the unique challenges of cross-cultural living and re-entry.
