Martha Draayer is a bilingual educator and ministry leader with more than a decade of experience walking alongside children, families, and culturally diverse communities. She holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and brings both professional expertise and lived experience as a generation 1.5 immigrant to her work with immigrant and refugee families.
Throughout her career, Martha has been passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. She co-founded María Magdalena Reformed Church, where her pastoral leadership centered on fostering belonging, strengthening families, and caring for individuals through seasons of transition, grief, and hope.
Currently, she is pursuing dual degrees—Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Master of Divinity—at Western Theological Seminary. Her work is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story, with a commitment to supporting others as they move toward healing, resilience, and growth.
