Therapist

She/Her

Hello, I am Stephanie, a therapist who understands firsthand how vulnerable it can feel—and how much courage it takes—to show up to the therapy process. I aim in my role to make the experience one that is deeply compassionate, collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I believe everyone, at every stage, is capable of experiencing glimmers of hope and healing, even if it is a messy, gradual and a persistent endeavor.

I specialize in working with parents and caregivers of children and teens navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, chronic stress, medical emergencies, chronic illness, grief, eating challenges, school challenges, LGBTQ+ wellbeing, and neurodivergence. I hold a deep belief that caregivers deserve their own gentle space to slow down, process, and be safely supported through what can often feel overwhelming. I believe that when we are able to extend compassion toward ourselves, we are better able to cope, find joy, and fulfill our desire to care best for those we love most. The space I offer is full of care, warmth, and deep respect for your unique story.

Ages I work with

  • Adolescents 13+, Individual Adults, Parents, Families

My other areas of focus include navigating life transitions, grief, chronic illness, chronic stress, parenting and motherhood, pregnancy and postpartum experiences, infertility and pregnancy loss, perimenopause, relationship concerns, identity development, neurodivergence, spiritual questions, religious trauma, and burnout recovery.

I am neuro-affirming and queer-affirming, and I believe every person deserves to be seen, valued, and affirmed in their humanity. I strive to create a therapy space grounded in trust, safety, and authenticity, recognizing these as essential foundations for healing. I take a trauma-informed approach that honors the connection between mind and body, creating space for experiences held in the nervous system to be gently processed and integrated. I incorporate Person-Centered-Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT),  Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), polyvagal theory, attachment theory, Self-Compassion and Somatic-Based Interventions.

I am a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) in the State of Michigan. I earned my Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2026 and my Bachelor of Social Work in 2025. Prior to becoming a social worker, I became a certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2009. This background gave me experience supporting individuals in developing a balanced relationship with food, and navigating the challenges of food allergies, chronic illness, and specialized dietary needs.
