I’m Hope, a Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I love working with people who are ready for something to change and want a collaborative space to figure out what that change can look like.

A big part of my work is with teens and adults navigating substance use and recovery, at every stage. Maybe you’re wondering whether your drinking or use has become a problem. Maybe you’re ready to cut back or stop. Maybe you’re years into recovery and working on what comes next. You don’t need to have it figured out before we start, and you won’t be judged for where you’re starting from. I also support loved ones affected by someone else’s substance use, whether you’re a parent worried about your teen or a partner, child, or friend trying to figure out how to help without losing yourself.

Individuals 13+

Substance use rarely shows up alone. Anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship strain, and big life transitions are often part of the picture, and we work on those too. And if substance use isn’t part of your story at all, I’m glad to work with you on whatever brings you in. I also see teens 13 and up for a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and self-esteem.

I believe the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of healing. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. We look at the patterns that have shaped your life, build on your strengths, and develop tools you can actually use.

I offer both daytime and some evening appointments, in person at our Holland North office or through telehealth. Daytime sessions work well for people with flexible or remote jobs, students, parents, or anyone who’d rather have therapy earlier in the day. Telehealth means no drive and less time away from work, so therapy fits into your schedule instead of crowding it.
