Brittany Riggins, MA, LPC
Hi, I’m Brittany! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for helping kids, teens, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion and resilience. I specialize in supporting young children—especially birth through age 6—along with their caregivers, as well as older kids and teens. I provide therapy across Kentucky and Michigan through secure Telehealth sessions, making it easier for families to access support right from home.
For the past several years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting children and adolescents through autism, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, school stress, and life transitions. With little ones, my work often focuses on building emotional regulation, supporting attachment and bonding, easing early developmental concerns, and equipping caregivers with tools to foster connection and calm at home
I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, fun, and creative. In my work, I often incorporate play, art, and interactive tools to help young clients express themselves in ways that feel natural and comfortable—even if words aren’t their primary language yet. For caregivers, I offer guidance, strategies, psychoeducation, and a space to process the ups and downs of raising children and teens in today’s world.
I pull from evidence-based approaches that are tailored to each child’s unique needs, including AutPlay Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and SPT (Synergetic Play Therapy).
I’m also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and have extensive experience working with neurodiverse children and their families. I value neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed care that respects the child as a whole person—not just their diagnosis or symptoms. Whether we’re nurturing early developmental skills, building coping strategies, easing anxiety, developing social-emotional skills, improving communication, or strengthening family connections, my goal is always to create a space where every child and caregiver feels understood, supported, and equipped for the road ahead.
Currently, I am offering Telehealth therapy to children and adolescents in Michigan and Kentucky. Telehealth therapy is a convenient and effective way to begin the counseling journey. Through secure video sessions, I can provide the same high-quality, personalized support as in-person therapy—right from the comfort of your home. Sessions can include interactive activities like art projects, games, guided coping exercises, and even parent coaching, making virtual therapy engaging and meaningful for children and adolescents. For many families, telehealth removes barriers like travel time, transportation, or scheduling conflicts, making it easier to stay consistent and see progress. While I look forward to transitioning to in-person sessions once I’m settled in Michigan, telehealth is a great starting point for building connection, gaining tools, and creating positive change right now.
